The North Carolina Thoroughbred Association supports the nationwide Thoroughbred Adoption network, as well as local re-training and adoption programs. 

Off-the-track-Thoroughbreds can become wonderful partners for just about any discipline, and are particularly well suited for jumping, three-phase eventing, and endurance riding.
